How to: July 4th Style

After all the Americana inspiration this Hump Day, we couldn't help but go full-on red, white, and blue for tomorrow's 4th of July celebration. As fashoinistas who LOVE to flaunt the personality in our styles, we can assure you that you won't be spying us in a typical flag t-shirt from Old Navy this Independence Day. Although, those shirts do bring back some memories. No, ladies, we're doing American pride our own way, and we're encouraging you to join in on the fun! Here are three great ways to put a twist on your backyard barbecue get up, your firework attire, and even your raging fun party ensemble.
A Dress

If you want to wear a dress this holiday, there are so many great ways to pull it off. If you're looking to dress up a little, try a festively colored gown and heels with a t-shirt pulled over top. This look screams, laid back and put together all at once! If your plans don't call for heels, swap them out for a great boot (paired with what other than your Little White Dress) and look rustic Americana in a flash.

A Skirt

If you want to have a little more fun with your look, try a skirt and top combination. This makes it super easy to incorporate red, white and blue into your outfit. Any combination of the three are sure to look totally appropriate for your celebration. Throw a jean jacket over any combination for an effortless look and to protect you from the nighttime breeze.

If you choose to cover up a little more or simply just feel more comfy in great pair of pants, go for a jean look. What's more American than blue jeans, anyways?! For an ultra laid back feel, whip out your favorite staple... your boyfriend jeans. If you'd rather dress up your jeans, try a printed wash with a heel et voilĂ ... instant personality. Don't forget the perfect statement necklace!
