St. Frimpong Fashion Show coverage

Yesterday we got the privilege to check out Ghana-native-gone-Chicagoan designer St. Frimpong's collective fashion show. The designer showed his Spring 2014 Womenswear, Fall 2014 Womenswear, and 2015 Menswear collections. The unique pieces created by St. Eugene Frimpong represent his African history while also expressing how he has developed as a designer by studying and residing in Chicago.

The show was held at the adorable Bridgeport Art Center. The rustic, wooded vibe of the location worked fabulously with the sophisticated décor. Upon arrival, we indulged ourselves in the sweet treats and drinks offered to us while browsing the intricate pieces at the pop-up shop of jewelry designer Mixxi G

Once we took our seats, we admired the black rose petal covered runway which was swiftly swept away for the show to start.

The show featured a really interesting mix of styles from sophisticated glamor and bold colors, to edgy and urban furs and silhouettes. We loved the cloaks, figure-hugging gowns, and, of course, the dapper men's looks. The women's looks were styled by Dutch and the men's looks were styled by Malachi Artese. Great job, boys! Hairstyles were crafted by the talented stylists at Spoil Me Salon & Spa and make-up looks were directed by Flawless Beauty artists.

These were some of our favorite looks!

It was a lovely evening, and we cannot wait to attend all the amazing Chicago shows in the future!

Truly Yours,
