Paris Fashion Week Wrap Up

"You come to Paris, you get true originality, and it's wonderful." - André Leon Talley

Ah, Paris! The city of love and fabulous fashion. This fashion week did not disappoint and has left us both happily overwhelmed from all that completely amazing works that set foot on the runways. With Paris Fashion Week comes the right to name drop to the max - Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Hermés, Céline… do we need to continue? You can imagine the agony and pain we went through narrowing it down to our favorites, but we did it once again!

Samantha's Pick

While Valentino always speaks to my soul and McQueen continues to be the greatest creative brand of all time, the "small supporter" that I am decided to choose someone a little more under-the-radar once again.

Leonard, a line directed by the absolutely adorable Yiqing Yin, isn't at all a new brand, but is just now making its way onto style.com's lovely list of shows. The fall collection was all about prints and motifs, as most of Leonard's lines are.

Now, we all know I'm a sucker for a playful pattern, but the absolute best part about this line was the use of texture - mohair, jacquard, wool jersey, tech leggings - all combined to create this absolutely beautiful set of 38 looks.

Take a peek at a few!

Bri's Pick

True life, I drooled when looking at the Viktor & Rolf show… and I am not ashamed because it was beyond perfection. Obviously I was instantly attracted to the beautiful gray-blue, dark gray and black tones that were used throughout the collection, not to mention the surprise pop of pink in the middle!

Subtle floral prints against luscious, super texturized furs and chunky cable knit appliqués on oversized jackets and dresses… yeah I’d say it’s true love. Overall, the collection was very commercial but still bordered on the edge of surreal with clearly innovative concepts, like the bustier cut outs on the outside of many garments. With this, I may take a leap of faith here and say that the Viktor & Rolf collection was my absolute favorite of the Fall 2014 season. Whoa, I know that’s risky business, but what can I say… I drooled…

And now...
Excuse us as we tear up about this fourth and final round of catwalk-to-closet.
