Our Style Crushes

Every girl and guy has that certain special someone... We aren't talking about a significant other... We are talking about a style crush... duh! That one person you can always look to for fashion inspiration. That one person whose closet you would pay millions of dollars to just step foot in. That one person who you wish to "walk a day in their shoes" because they are just so fabulous. Meet our style obsessions... and see for yourself why we fell in love in the first place.

Samantha's Style Crush

My wardrobe inspiration undoubtably comes from a very eclectic mix of different styles. There is only one person I can think of who likes to mix up their closet as much as me. Maybe it comes from our similar roots in the love of fashion as a whole, or maybe it's a reflection of the fact that I stalked this lady since I was five years old (yes I was in her "fan club")... Either way, my style crush is the oh-so-talented Mary Kate Olsen.

This fashion phenomenon is not only dressed to the nines for every place she goes, she does it however she wants - every time. That's what I love about her. You see, just as much as I think your fashion should be a reflection of your personal self in general, I specifically believe it should be a reflection or your mood, your feelings, and your ever-developing personality each day. How else can you consider your style personal if it doesn't grow and evolve alongside you?

Whether she's feeling feisty, flirty, girly, or refined, Mary Kate Olson dresses herself to the tee and does it with ease. She is without a doubt my style crush because she conquers what I aspire to do every day in my wardrobe... be truly me

Bri's Style Crush

For those of you looking to be inspired by some serious high fashion statements, Anna Dello Russo is your girl. As the editor-at-large of Vogue Japan, this woman is my absolute favorite style maven. She plows down all style boundaries making every single high-end and couture garment in her endless wardrobe truly her own.

                                                                                                                               Photo Link

There is not a single day, party, or fashion show where Ms. Dello Russo is not impeccably dressed head-to-two. Her personal style is unlike ANYONE and ANYTHING in the entire world - and that is no joke. She is not afraid to wear the most elaborate runway looks that often times leave the catwalk and walk straight into her closet. Forget all the couture dresses she owns, Anna Dello Russo is 51 years old - 51 years old and she has better legs than half the models on the runway. Now that is something worth strutting about.

The Master of Millinery:

                                                                                                                              Photo Link

The Goddess of Glam:

                                                                                                                              Photo Link

Anna Dello Russo will NEVER let you down. Though I could never pull off these looks as well as she does (as if anyone could for that matter) she still inspires me every day. That is what personal style is all about, after all... creating a look that is so truly you, not a single other person would be capable of pulling it off.
