Home Is Where the Heart Is

As many of you probably know by now, the two of us live together and spend every second of every day feeding off of each other's creative minds, so it clearly translates into how we live. We firmly believe that the most important part of developing and strengthening your personal style is by surrounding yourself with inspiration. This comes in all forms and from hundreds of different sources, and there’s no easier way to envelop yourself within it than to personalize your living space. We love nothing better than to get our creative juices flowing by leaving plenty of spaces in our home open to inspire. Our bedrooms are the hearts of our creative spirits. They are our sanctuaries: where we create, where we dress, where we dream. They completely encompass who we are. Take a look at how our styles have translated - Turn on your inspired minds, sit back, and welcome to our home. :)

Samantha's Room

My room is very neutral and natural. It's bohemian, girly, and playful. My main source of inspiration is definitely the one-and-only Mother Nature. The colors of the earth, its plants, its stones - it all inspires what I wear and who I am. Texture, as I've said, is one of my favorite things to play with. I use it just as much in my room as I do in how I dress. This room is my happy place. It instills pure bliss in me and there's nowhere else I feel more positive.

Bri's Room

Welcome to my place of pure tranquility. My room truly embraces my minimalist self as I believe simplicity is always the key. By keeping my color scheme light and airy, I feel like I am able to enter my room and just breathe. The mix of cool pastel tones against pure white and gray just make me happy to look at. I love my girly accents- my beloved Nelle Handbag, the mis-matched glass vases, and of course just a hint of glitter. This open space gives me room to unwind, think, and be inspired every day.

Our Room
While we love having our personal living spaces, we won't deny that our minds harmonize more often than not. We have so much fun mixing and matching our styles in the shared living spaces of our home. We do this with pattern play, (what can we say, we’re obsessed) texture, and of course, by keeping plenty of our favorite magazines on hand. Our styles blend through the mixture of neutral and modern pieces of furniture that compliment the vibrant colors and natural elements mixed in throughout the space. When you’re lucky enough to own a bachelorette pad, you might as well go all out!

Remember, your home should be an extension of yourself. A house is not a home unless it's truly you.

Truly Yours,

P.S. "Design is coming to grips with one's real lifestyle, one's real place in the world. Rooms should not be put together for show but to nourish one's well-being." - Albert Hadley

One of our favorite ways to liven up our space is with floral arrangements from our friends at Asrai Garden. Asrai Garden is a Wicker Park novelty shop specializing in home products, jewelry, and, predominately, flowers. The ladies here take pride in making tree-huggers like us happy with not only their amazing arrangement skills, but also their entire knack for aesthetic. Asrai Garden is one of our favorite local shops and has become a inspiration haven. Head down to North Avenue at the six corners any time you want instant creative energy.
